I forgive you Evan, because you had a reason to ignore the DO NOT USE.

Anyway, I didn’t make any progres on libgaim. I had a buttload of homework, which I didn’t do, but by screwing around and not doing anything, I felt less guity (dunno how that works, dont’ ask me either). But this weekend I should have ample time (when I’m not watching the game! DIE YANKEES!!). My first task is to get the buddylist working. Then I’ll move on to messaging. File transfer -will- be in there, don’t worry.

As for my plans in the (not-so?)distant future, I’m hoping to try tackling the iChat Audio. It’d be nea if I could get that in. No promises, though!

Oh, and if anyone reading this is at Brown University, I’d just like to say that I’m really excited about your school, it’s my top pick, and I really want to go there. ACCEPT ME PLEASE! 😀

Sorry about that… it was all me. Don’t commit your login & password in the future 🙂 Seriously, though, it had the exact same warning on it as the stress test, which I use regularly to test new code without bouncing on and offline, so I figured it was the same sort of thing. I suppose I should have checked the source for what it was using to login 😛 Humble apologies, Sir Colin.

I am deeply, deeply, angered.

When I say “Libgaim (Do Not Use),” that means, DON’T USE IT! The code in the current binary signs on one of my PERSONAL AIM accounts. I use that one for testing, and it’s been on all day, causing me much consternation. Whoever is using it, please, STOP. I don’t ask you to come forward, but if you want to email me, my email is timber@lava.net.

I thought the users of Adium had more respect than this.

Well, I made a fairly sizable commit today. I don’t feel like re-typing the commit message, so go over to the stats or the RSS feed and check it out 🙂

Before we filtered out the mega spike, I saved the picture. You can see it in all its glory here.

Wow, well, congrats to us 😀

Since I mentioned IRC in the commit log, I should probably tell you how to get on 🙂

You can download any number of wonderful IRC clients for mac. Check VersionTracker for some good ones. I recommend iRC, Ircle, Snak, X-Chat Aqua, and Conversation. There are also command line clients, like irssi, ircII, and BitchX.

Once you’ve got an IRC client, you should read the instructions that come with it for connection to a server. The server you want to join is “irc.freenode.net” (without the quotes). Then, join #adium. You should be able accomplish this in any client by typing /join #adium ( you might also be able to click on a button or something, I don’t know what IRC client you have ;-)).

Hang out in there, please 🙂 We’ll have a rockin’ good time in there, and who knows, you might be able to influence us developers a little 😉

What in the world could that be!? 😉

[edit: Spike filtered out… you should’ve seen it, it was huge! 🙂 ]

St. Petersburg, Florida, is absolutely gorgeous… I love fall break which, for those interested in work on the secret project (which is preciely what you think it is, fools! Don’t listen to that Colin character.. he’s a terrorist. Just kidding, Mr. Rumsfeld.), ends Wednesday. Some things, like daiquiris and hot tubs and beautiful girlfriends, just have to take precedence over libs and the mastering thereof. Cheers from the Sunshine State!
