I have good news
First, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to GEICO.
Second, I believe I’ve found the problem that makes the updater crash. If I’m right, it was a pretty simple should’ve-retained-that bug in Sparkle. If the fix works, we’ll have a 1.1.1 out sometime soon—if all goes well, within the hour.

Will updating from 1.1 to 1.1.1 through Sparkle work, though? If it will still crash people already on 1.1 will have to do it manually. How are these people going to know a new version is out?
Or can it be resolved with some clever appcast magic?

i have to ask, because i’m a cynical conspiracy theorist: was that geico ad a paid viral marketing thing?
what has become of us that an innocent little joke like that carries so many commercial implications!?
