Zac West: Co-Lead Developer
Zac West, developer and webmaster of Adium for the past several years, has been doing a fantastic job during the development cycle of Adium 1.4, not just with coding (including our upcoming Twitter and IRC support) but also with resource maintenance, organization, and direction. He has shown admirable dedication to this free, open source project, to the great benefit of the one million Adium users worldwide.
It’s my pleasure, with the support of the rest of the Adium development team, to name him co-lead developer of the Adium project, changing my own title to the same in the process.
Congratulations are in order! I look forward to the great places Zac will help us take Adium in the future.

Congrats. That being said, get to work
The Beta still crashes every time someone IMs or I try to IM someone, so I’ve given up. I’m a little worried about the next release in this regard, thus the posting here. Also, some great message styles like iChadium haven’t been updated in forever. It’d be great if the Adium team could maybe come up with some Xtras of their own to be kept up to date with most every release; that way we could have some stability. I’m also wondering if it will ever be possible to get people’s incoming bubble colors and such like from iChat? It’s the one big thing I like about iChat that Adium doesn’t have and really one of the only things I can think of to make it better (iChadium doesn’t seem to be working properly with new releases).
Thanks guys, you’re the reason I keep coming back to Adium, even when I throw up my hands.

Adium is a multi-platform instant messaging client, based on a library named libpurple. A remote arbitrary-code-execution vulnerability has been found in Libpurple, which can be triggered by a remote attacker by sending a specially crafted MSNSLP packet with invalid data to the client through the MSN server. No victim interaction is required, and the attacker is not required to be in the victim’s buddy list (under default configuration).
When there will be an update?
