Icon update proposal

+1 for these icons going ahead. 1.5 seems like a good milestone for them as well, a halfway to .0 release should really have some UI freshness! I don't see many of the current open tickets changing much in terms of UI (unless plans/priorities were to change of course), so having some visual newness is always a welcome change.
The main issue I see with the current icon set is that they aren't consistent. This is because they are designed by 3-4 different people, all with their own individual styles. So they all look like they belong from separate applications.
I strongly disagree with what you suggest Colin about only updating one part at a time (say just the preferences for one release, then the chat window in a future release), as that doesn't solve the issue that I mention above.
If (judging by the newly proposed development schedule) 1.5 was to hit beta around Feb-March time and with Lion's suggested release date being around Q2 2011, that gives enough time to see what interface changes Lion will bring, and to hopefully see if these proposed icons would look odd in Lion or not.

Perhaps it would be better to focus on updating one part of the interface's icons -- I think one of the lessons of Adium 1.4 is that we should try to take things in more bite sized chunks ;)
